1. What are you doing, if anything, to mark Remembrance Day/Veteran's Day? (I believe this holiday is observed in most of the countries in which altfriday5ers live; my apologies if this is not so in your country.) Since the day is over, I basically worked today. We normally do not do anything on that day because there is only one person I know who is a veteran and he does not talk about it much.

2. What personal connections do you have through your family or yourself, if any, to previous or current wars? My grandfather was in WWII and got a purple heart, I think (he died before I was born). My uncle was on the U.S.S. Forestall during Vietnam. Other than that, no one else was in war.

3. If you had to choose one war to be remembered by the world over all others, which one would you choose? Why? I would have to say the Revolutionary War in an American standpoint simply because that was the beginning of America. Pulling away from a country and building your own is a hard task that not a lot of countries even today have accomplished.

4. How much would you say you know about previous wars? Current wars? I am very knowledgable about the Revolutionary and the Civil War (especially the Civil War). The other wars I do not know much about though. I knew about the current American war and the other current wars a little bit more when I took a politics class last semester at school.

5. What is the most important lesson to be learned from the remembrance of wars, previous and current? Again, from an American standpoint, I would say with the previous wars the lesson that I learned is that you really need to fight for what you believe in and you should never give up hope, even when there seems to be nothing left to hope for.

I apologize for not updating in a couple days. Work has really gotten to me and I have not been in the mood to talk. Here is a recap of why this week sucked.

Sunday: Customers were assholes including one that yelled at me cause I forgot to ring up his rewards card. This guy apparently was really rude to John and Sarah too so John flipped out on the guy. It cracked me up because he was screaming and the guy was like, "Yes sir." like he was ready to cry.

Tuesday: Was front end all night and one customer accused me of stealing ten dollars. John counted the drawer and proved that I did not do anything wrong. The guy persisted so John just gave him the cartridge to make him shut up. This was after about 20 minutes of shouting match. It took a lot for me to not tell John to give him ten dollars and tell the guy to go fuck himself. I was that pissed.

Wednesday: Was ringing and a customer flipped when I would not return something that was not on either receipt. Dan ended up returning it but she was literally trying to make me not call him up. Luckily he was coming over anyway. This time it emotionally distraugted me and needed to take a break so I could calm down. After venting to John, he told me not to feel bad.

Yesterday: Gouch pissed me off because I was saying how I was frustrated that I could not get a pitch out for a plan and he told me that I talk wrong. Dan calmed me down and the anger was short lived since I helped him pass his EASY certification.

Today was not bad. We took the poor dogs over to the kennel. I now have my initial tattooed to my chest thanks to Junior who was trying to get away from the kennel people.
